Heads up: because of the red heatwave alert, some events of the Music Day 2026 may be canceled, postponed, or altered. Check the latest information before you head out.
The Fête de la Musique kicks off on June 21. Each year, our beautiful capital (and beyond) welcomes this international event that puts music in every form at the forefront. For the occasion, numerous musicians invite you to experience their art and wander into their world through melody. Officially listed on the national calendar thanks to former Culture Minister Jack Lang, the aim is to celebrate music from around the globe. In Lardy, in Essonne, the evening promises a varied lineup and performances for every taste.
Lardy, a charming town in Essonne with a history that reaches back to the Middle Ages, sits in the Juine valley and is surrounded by green landscapes and remarkable heritage, such as the Soucy Castle and the Saint-Pierre Church. Each year the town doubles down on quality cultural events, and Music Day is no exception. This year, Lardy is gearing up to welcome residents and visitors in a festive, convivial atmosphere, putting local and regional talents in the spotlight.
Among the artists not to miss this year is the band "PUMP". With 25 years of experience under its belt and more than 4,500 concerts across France and abroad, the group will honor rock’s most prestigious artists across its diverse range of styles.
And right before this tribute concert, catch the students from the Contemporary Music Workshops at the Lardy Community Conservatory. So join us on June 21, 2026 at the parc de l'Hôtel de Ville de Lardy to share in an authentic moment of live music!
