To celebrate the Fête de la Musique, the French Ministry of Culture is planning a wonderful summer evening of music to be enjoyed this Saturday, June 21, 2025, in the gardens of the Palais-Royal. The Fête de la musique returns to France on Saturday June 21, 2025 with a rich and eclectic program. While many towns and cities in the Ile-de-France region celebrate music with a variety of musical highlights, Paris remains a must for dancing to the sounds produced by young talent and established artists alike.

Every year, the capital celebrates the Fête de la Musique with a flurry of concerts featuring rock, reggae,electro, rap, French variety, metal, zouk and classical music.

Every June 21, during the Fête de la Musique, a number of musical events take place along the Seine, on rooftops, in squares, parks and gardens, in bars and in museums. But others have become must-sees for Parisians, such as the 36h Saint-Eustache festival, or the free France Inter evening at the Olympia.

Another must-see event organized every year for the Fête de la musique? The traditional free concert organized by the Ministry of Culture in the heart of the Palais-Royal gardens. Every year, the Ministry organizes a beautiful evening of free concerts featuring a mix of amateur and established musicians.

So, what program awaits you on June 21, 2025 in the gardens of the Palais-Royal and on the Pol Bury plateau for this new Fête de la musique? This year, the French Ministry of Culture is giving pride of place to women's polyphonies, as well as to performances of traditional and contemporary music. Fête de la musique 2025 at the Palais-Royal, the full program

Saturday, June 21, 2025 - from 1:30 p.m. - In the gardens and on the Pol Bury plateau - Free admission

  • 1:30 pm: BAGAD KERIZ
    Static and strolling performance by a bagad based in Clichy-la-Garenne (Île-de-France), made up of some 30 amateur musicians.

  • 1:40pm: THE HERDS
    Performance in the gardens of life-size animal puppets, interacting with the musicians of the bagad and polyphonies, as well as with the public.

Female polyphonies from different regions of France and the world

  • 1:50pm: POPLITÊ
    Vocal and sound experimentation with polyphony. Repertoire inspired by the popular music of Nordeste Brazil and exploration of traditional Mediterranean repertoires (Occitania, southern Italy, Galicia).

  • 1:50 pm: MAAAR
    Contemporary creation and polyphony, between tradition and modernity. Three geographical areas, from the Iberian Peninsula to Latin America, via Occitania and Brittany.

  • 2:30pm: DAUNAS DE CÒR
    Pyrenean polyphonic singing in Occitan and French.

  • 2:30 pm: LA MAL COIFFÉE
    Languedoc polyphonic singing revisiting the traditional repertoire.

Performances combining traditional and contemporary music

  • 3:20 pm: GRÉGORY JOLIVET
    "Osmose" show, electro hurdy-gurdy solo. Compositions combining traditional music (from the Centre-France area) and contemporary music.

  • 3:20pm: NØKKENOC
    Duo inspired by Gascon and Scandinavian traditions, with an acoustic energy tinged with rock-metal.

  • 4:00 pm: RONAN LE GOURIÉREC - BAL JEUNE PUBLIC
    With his roots in traditional Breton music, Ronan le Gouriérec (baritone saxophone) explores links with jazz and, more generally, improvised music, creating an original repertoire for his show " Parle bout du Noz ", which gets parents and children up on their feet dancing.

  • 5:15pm: SEKSION MALOYA
    Music and dance from Reunion Island, alternating a cappella polyphony and percussion sequences. Musiciens du métro, in partnership with RATP.

  • 6:00 pm: MA PETITE - BAL TOUT PUBLIC
    Dance music quartet inspired by the traditional Poitevin repertoire.

  • 6:45pm: SUPER PARQUET
    Dialogue between traditional Auvergne music and dance, electronic music and psychedelic music, with a variety of traditional instruments (banjo, boîte à bourdons, cabrette).
