It's an event that music lovers look forward to every year! On June 21, 2024, the Fête de la Musique returns to France with a host of free concerts to delight both eyes and ears.
Every year on the same date, music lovers and musicians come together to celebrate music in a joyous and fun-filled atmosphere. For a whole day and evening, live music takes over many places: from the streets to concert halls, museums, institutions, parks and gardens, bars and restaurants... these diverse venues open their doors to musicians - amateurs and professionals alike - eager to share their musical styles with as many people as possible, whether it's rock, rap, electro, jazz or classical music.
There's plenty of good music to be had in Paris and the Ile-de-France region, including in Mantes-la-Jolie. Every June 21, this Yvelines town celebrates the Fête de la Musique with free concerts by artists of all genres. So, after the LEJ trio in 2023, what program awaits you this year for the new and 43rd edition of the Fête de la Musique?
On Friday June 21, 2024, head to the Île l'Aumône at the Parc des Expositions Michel Sevin to catch Black M in free concert!
Free concert by Black M. Do we really need to introduce this famous French rapper, also a member of the Sexion d'Assaut group? In 2014, Black M embarked on a solo career with the release of the opus"Les Yeux plus gros que le monde", featuring the singles " Ailleurs ", " Mme Pavoshko ", " Je ne dirai rien ", " Je garde le sourire ", " Foutue Mélodie ", " C'est tout moi " and, of course, " Sur ma route ". In fact, 2024 marks the 10th anniversary of this hit album!
Since then, the artist has released three more albums, including"La Légende Black", the fourth and latest to date. Released on October 13, 2023, the album features 14 songs, including 6 featurings with Le Doc, Amir, Tayc, Neg' Marrons and Léa Djadja.
On June 21, 2024, for this new Fête de la Musique in Mantes-la-Jolie, Black M will surely take the opportunity to perform some of his most recent tracks, without forgetting to honor his previous hits.
Opening the show, Colt and the winner of the Tremplin Musical, organized on May 12 and chosen by a jury made up of elected officials and entertainment professionals. There will also be a refreshment area on site.
In addition to this major free concert by Black M, the town of Mantes-la-Jolie will also, as it does every year, be welcoming singers and groups until the end of the night in bars in the town center.
