Fête de la musique 2025 in Nanterre (92): African percussion, Senegalese rap and jazz

A not-to-be-missed musical event launched in France in 1982, the Fête de la Musique returns every year on June 21. Once again, this popular, festive and free event puts live music in the spotlight for a day and evening that music lovers wouldn't miss for the world.

Every June 21, musicians, amateur and professional alike, take the opportunity to bring out their instruments and pay tribute to musical styles as diverse and varied as rap, rock, pop, metal, world music, electro, classical music, jazz, blues, French variety... So many styles to discover and listen to in so many places, including the street, of course, but also concert halls, bars and restaurants, and even some institutions and museums.

Also, as you may have guessed, there are plenty of good music deals to be had in Paris and the Ile-de-France region. This is particularly true of Nanterre. This town in the Hauts-de-Seine region of the Paris region is once again taking part in the Fête de la Musique.

This year, for the latest edition of this popular event, the municipality invites its residents to a festive, multiculturalday of music on Saturday, June 21, 2025 . Starting at 11:30 a.m., the Fête de la musique will take over several Nanterre neighborhoods, each with the same objective: to get you dancing! Click here for the program.

Fête de la musique 2025 in Nanterre, the program

Saturday, June 21, 2025 - Several locations in the city - Free admission

Center municipal de santé Juliette-Ténine (8, rue Jean-Lebon) :

• 11:30 am: wood trio by teachers at the conservatory for the opening ceremony of the new health center.

Maison de la musique, hall stage :

• 11 a.m.: vocal duet with Francesca Giordano, Conservatory teacher
• 11:30am: flamenco guitar workshop, Jorge Pablo Castaneda, Conservatoire teacher
• 2:30 pm: accordion and trumpet classes with Lucie Laigle, Véronique Simon and Olivier Manchon, conservatory teachers
• 4:45pm/5:30pm: concert by pupils from Voltaire school, led by Benjamin Tilmont, conservatory teacher:
• 16h45/17h: rap with a class of CP pupils
• 5:00 pm - 5:30 pm: world music with two CE2-CM1 classes

Maison de la musique, forecourt :

• 3:30 p.m./4 p.m.: Jazz and film music by the Conservatoire's Junior Harmonie Orchestra, conducted by Marion Ladrette. West Side Story, excerpts by the Junior Symphony Orchestra conducted by Marion Ladrette
• 4:10/16:25 pm: André-Doucet high school brass concert (trumpet, trombone, tuba, saxophone) with Lucie Laigle, Jacques Murat, Jean-Baptiste Renaux and Ludwik Mierzejewski, conservatory teachers
• 6pm: African dance and percussion by students of conservatory teacher Lansiné Diabaté
• 6:15pm: marching performance by the conservatory steel band, led by conservatory teacher José Babeu

Médiathèque Pierre-et-Marie-Curie :

• 4:30-6:30 pm: discover the secrets of baladi, the traditional dance of Egyptian women, with a lecture and dance by the Mille-et-une-nuits company (ages 6 and up).

Parc des Anciennes-Mairies :

• 6:45pm: contemporary music choir directed by Marie-Catherine Mosse and steel band led by José Babeu, conservatory teachers
• 7pm: Djiby Sall & conservatory pop rock band
• 7:15pm-9pm: open stage with associations Musique et Compagnie, Jam en Seine and Vague Flow
• 9-10pm: FUK N KUK (Senegalese rap)
