The Nuit Blanche is back this Saturday, June 6, 2026. It’s an opportunity for us to rediscover the capital’s iconic venues, following the animations and events put on by the artists. This year again, the Bibliothèque Forney is taking part in this major cultural event, with an unconventional activity.
Is this château in the middle of Paris really a library? Yes, it is! Bibliothèque Forney is a remarkable place, both for its collections and its architecture. Housed in theHôtel de Sens, this library enjoys a majestic setting, a building constructed in the 15th century as the residence of the Archbishops of Sens. This place steeped in history houses hundreds of thousands of books and documents, mainly relating to the decorative arts, fine arts and crafts.
This well-known Parisian landmark offers a brand-new experience to be enjoyed during this Nuit Blanche 2026 à Paris. The legendary library in the 4e arrondissement awaits to deliver an unforgettable evening full of surprises... Let yourself be drawn to this artistic nocturne unlike any other!

Final set, Vivace: 11:30 pm
Last Day(s) is a transdisciplinary performance. In step with our times, it questions human activity (social responsibility, ecological critique…) in the age of the Anthropocene. The work comprises a Füssli painting, five metagraphies, a relic, an electro loop generated from Mozart’s Mass in C minor, live soloists, dancers and actors from the CRR of Paris, and finally… a tinnitus.
Premise:
1783 marks a starting point. That year, Füssli painted The Three Witches, Mozart composed the Great Mass in C minor (K. 427) and Jouffroy d’Abbans launched the first steamship on the Doubs. In 1980, American biologist Eugene Stoermer first coined the term “Anthropocene” to designate a new geological epoch that began with the dawn of the Industrial Revolution. “Last Day(s)” traces and closes this period.
Performance: Electro - Trans - Theatre
Dernier(s) jour(s) is a cross-disciplinary performance – a mirror of Genesis – about the (de)creation of the world. In step with our times, it probes human activity (social responsibility, ecological critique…) in the Anthropocene era. The work comprises a Füssli, five metagraphies, a relic, an electro loop generated from Mozart’s Mass in C major, live soloists, dancers and actors from the CRR de Paris, and finally… a tinnitus.
A sound installation is on offer from 7 p.m. The performance starts at 10 p.m.
The Conservatoire à rayonnement régional de Paris – Ida Rubinstein is an internationally renowned arts-education institution. Backed by a teaching staff of nearly 300 educators, the CRR de Paris welcomes close to 1,500 students each year across its four sites.
The Forney Library, housed in the Hôtel de Sens, is a unique venue dedicated to the fine arts, decorative and graphic arts, crafts and their techniques, as well as fashion, design and advertising. It is within this inspiring setting that Dernier(s) jour(s) takes shape, drawing its essence from the fracturing of the different strata of advertising. At the heart of this courtyard, the performance gains full meaning and becomes the symbol of the city’s ongoing transformation, its narratives and the forks it has always taken.
A most intriguing event, to be discovered in one of the capital's most beautiful libraries. And for other exceptional visits, take a look at our program of events in Paris.
