Nuit Blanche 2026: immerse yourself in a mysterious paper cave inside a cinema in Bobigny (93)

The newly inaugurated Alice Guy cinema in Bobigny transforms into a contemporary art showcase on Saturday, June 6, 2026 for Nuit Blanche. Audiences are invited to venture into the heart of a monumental paper cavern to experience "En écho," an immersive and poetic performance by the company 14:20.

It's the most anticipated night-out for night owls and culture lovers. From Saturday, 6 June to Sunday, 7 June 2026, Nuit Blanche returns to illuminate Paris and its metropolitan area. The concept remains the same but is reinvented each year: turning everyday spaces into open-air art galleries and inviting the public to burn the midnight oil to experience free and quirky happenings.

This year, the focus is on the Seine-Saint-Denis area, inside the brand-new cinéma Alice Guy in Bobigny, where a poetic performance will come to life. Since its inception, Nuit Blanche has aimed to democratize contemporary art by taking it out of traditional museums. And the spotlight is no longer confined to the city center; the whole region is buzzing. Churches, swimming pools, construction sites or suburban cinemas are becoming the screens for monumental creations.

Choosing to spend the night on the far side of the ring road is a surefire way to encounter bolder, less crowded proposals, and to back installations that fuse art with the modern pulse of the new Francilian cultural spaces. To host this performance by the compagnie 14:20, where audiences are invited to step inside a real paper cave to experience the piece “En écho,” a venue at the cutting edge of modernity was required.

The brand-new Alice Guy cinema in Bobigny opens its walls—and its screens—to the magic of Nuit Blanche. Recently inaugurated, this ultra-modern complex is more than a movie theater: it was designed as a genuine cultural and artistic crossroads for Seine-Saint-Denis. Fitted with state-of-the-art equipment and auditoriums that prioritize comfort, it proudly bears the name of Alice Guy, the very first female director in the history of cinema. A highly symbolic venue choice for a night dedicated to visual creation.
