At last, it's back all summer long! The vasque de Paris 2024 (that's its name now) is back to amaze Parisians, Ile-de-France residents and tourists every day, from June 21 to September 14, 2025. A hot-air balloon accessible to all, free of charge, during the day, and which you'll once again be able to see soaring into the sky every evening. To admire it up close, you'll have to walk along the rue de Rivoli, which borders this iconic garden! The Olympic cauldron is located opposite Place de la Concorde, on the Musée du Louvre side. From the vicinity of the Joan of Arc statue, you should be able to get a good view of this levitating cauldron. Nearby, at theArc du Carrousel, which forms the transition between the Musée du Louvre and the Jardin des Tuileries, there's also a fine view of the flame and its hot-air balloon.
A little further on, the Olympic cauldron can also be seen from the Avenue des Champs-Elysées, turning towards the Place de la Concorde, opposite the Arc de Triomphe. A fine view also awaits you from the Pont de l'Alma. If you walk up the rue du 29 juillet from the place du Marché Saint-Honoré, you should also be able to see the balloon levitating!
It's also possible to admire it from above! There are several rooftops and viewpoints in the capital where you can see the balloon. From the top of the Butte Montmartre, at the foot of the Sacré Coeur, you should be able to see the hot-air balloon imagined by Mathieu Lehanneur, as well as from theObservatoire de la Tour Montparnasse or the Eiffel Tower.
