Fête de la Saint-Louis: hot-air ballooning, picnics, family water games in Fontainebleau (77)

To celebrate the last day of August and the last Sunday of the vacation season in style, come to Fontainebleau for the Fête de la Saint-Louis! A breath of fresh air for the whole family on the banks of the Grand Canal at the Château de Fontainebleau on August 31, 2025, with a host of free events replacing the fireworks display, which was cancelled due to the risk of fire. With this new format, enjoy a huge fairground and bucolic festival, for a day between water and air!

From 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., you can enjoy a convivial picnic on the grass, climb on swings from another era, pedal along the canal, watch circus and magic shows, and, if the weather's fine, take to the skies in a hot-air balloon- all without paying a cent! It's sure to be a great day out, creating a whole host of unforgettable memories with your loved ones!

• Old-fashioned swings, fun bikes, outdoor games, pedal boats and paddlers on the canal, model-building, circus, badminton
• Free hot-air balloon baptisms in captive flight (by France Montgolfières, weather permitting)
• Foodtrucks or picnics on the grass
• Cirque et Pique show: prestidigitation, object manipulation and comedy
• Unique musical sculptures
• Fanfares: Pocket Brass Band at 10:30 a.m. departing from downtown, then on the Grand Canal at 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. - MoviMiento at 2 p.m. and 6 p.m.
