Cine Junior Festival 2026: Dates and Lineup for the Youth Audience

The top children’s film festival has made its return to Paris and the Île-de-France region! This winter, families can enjoy a diverse lineup of animated and family-friendly movies across 63 cinemas and cultural venues throughout the Paris area.

The 36th edition of the Ciné Junior Festival, France’s premier international festival dedicated to young audiences, is set to run from February 4 to 15, 2026. This major event for young film enthusiasts is hosted across 29 towns in Val-de-Marne and 17 in Île-de-France. For over a week, children as young as 2, curious little viewers, teenagers, and their families will have the chance to discover the wonders of the big screen.

Ciné Junior invites children to explore, learn, exchange, and share—all while having fun—through a diverse lineup of programming suitable for kids from just 2 years old. This year's theme, "Boldness!" will feature over 130 iconic and new films, from both France and around the world. The festival also offers meet-and-greets, workshops, film concerts, and dance screenings, bringing to life incredible stories and extraordinary adventures that captivate more than 53,000 viewers each year.

Once again this year, the festival lineup promises to be diverse and exciting. Cinema audiences across the region will have access to nearly 40 feature films and animations, including six feature-length contenders, along with 20 short films. The screenings are thoughtfully organized into twelve age groups, ranging from 2 years old to 13. Over thirty guests and speakers will enhance the event with engaging activities, workshops, and discussions.
