With The Batman, Matt Reeves(Planet of the Apes: Supremacy) plunges Gotham City into an oppressive atmosphere of crime and corruption. This new action/crime/thriller, with its impressive 2h57 running time, stars Robert Pattinson as the masked vigilante, supported by Zoë Kravitz(Big Little Lies) as Catwoman and Paul Dano(There Will Be Blood) as Mystery Man. Reinterpreting Batman's early days as a detective, the plot takes us to the heart of a darkly realistic Gotham, where the hero confronts iconic enemies while probing his own limits.

Synopsis: Two years of walking the streets as Batman and instilling fear in criminals have led Bruce Wayne into the heart of Gotham City's darkness. With only a few trusted allies - Alfred Pennyworth, Lieutenant James Gordon - among the city's corrupt network of officials and VIPs, the lone vigilante has established himself as the sole embodiment of vengeance among his fellow citizens. When a killer targets Gotham's elite through a series of sadistic machinations, a trail of cryptic clues sends the world's greatest detective on an underworld investigation, where he encounters the likes of Selina Kyle, aka Catwoman, Oswald Cobblepot, aka the Penguin, Carmine Falcone and Edward Nashton, aka the Mystery Man.
