Suprématie, the third and last part of Planet of the Apes is broadcast on television, this Friday, March 17, at 9:10 pm on France 3. While the apes led by Caesar just want to live in peace in the forest, they are hunted by men. The final confrontation ending one of the two species seems inevitable.

It was one of the most anticipated films of the year 2017, the final part of the trilogy Planet of the Apes returns to television, this Friday, March 17, at 21h10 on France 3. Caesar, at the head of the Apes, must defend his people against a human army advocating their destruction. The outcome of the fight will determine not only the fate of each species, but also the future of the planet.

As a reminder, the first episode of this Saga directed by Matt Reeves and largely inspired by the novel by Pierre Boule told the story of the Origins of the Planet of the Apes. In a laboratory, scientists experiment a treatment on monkeys to overcome Alzheimer's disease. But their tests have unexpected side effects: they discover that the substance used radically increases the brain activity of their subjects. Caesar is the first young chimpanzee to show remarkable intelligence. But betrayed by the humans who surround him and in whom he trusted, he will lead the uprising of his entire species against Man in a spectacular battle.

The second part tells the story of the confrontation between the humans and the apes. A growing nation of advanced apes, led by Caesar, is threatened by a group of humans who have survived the devastating virus that spread ten years earlier. They reach a fragile but short-lived truce: the two sides are on the verge of a war that will decide the dominant species on Earth.

The third and final part of the story brings us to this point. The apes led by Caesar just want to live in peace in the forest, but they are constantly attacked by a group of humans led by a ruthless colonel who wants to exterminate the apes at all costs. When he kills Caesar's girlfriend and eldest son, Caesar wants only one thing: revenge.

Caesar tries to protect his family by sending them to live in the desert and goes in pursuit of the soldiers with the sole ambition of killing the colonel, knowing that he has very little chance of surviving. On the way, he meets some nice people who will somewhat upset his plans. But to find out more, you'll have to see the movie.

Just like the first two episodes, this movie is impressive of realism. The apes convey extremely strong emotions and are often more "Human" than humans. The last companion of Caesar and his friends, an old monkey born in a Zoo who knows how to speak the language of men, but not that of monkeys, brings a good dose of humor in a rather dark story.
