Le Refuge, a drama directed by François Ozon and featuring Isabelle Carré, will air on France 4 on Thursday, September 24, 2026 at 9:00 PM. The film will also be available for thirty days on france.tv.
Released in French theaters on January 27, 2010, the film follows Mousse and Louis, a young couple whose lives are upended by an overdose. Louis dies while Mousse survives and discovers she’s pregnant. She then leaves Paris, seeking refuge in an isolated house, where Louis’s brother eventually comes to join her.
François Ozon casts Isabelle Carré in the role of Mousse, surrounded by Louis-Ronan Choisy, Pierre Louis-Calixte, and Melvil Poupaud. The story centers on the period of withdrawal his character undergoes, marked by grief, pregnancy, and the recalibration of ties with Louis’s inner circle.
