After the excellent Incroyable mais vrai, director Quentin Dupieux returns with Fumer fait couser, his tenth feature film. The comedy, selected Out of Competition at the Cannes Film Festival 2022, is due for release on November 30, 2022.
As usual, Dupieux has assembled a very large cast for his new film. Fumer fait couser stars Gilles Lellouche, Vincent Lacoste, Grégoire Ludig and David Marsais from Le Palmashow, Adèle Exarchopoulos Raphaël Quenard, Anaïs Demoustier, Jean-Pascal Zadi, Oulaya Amamra(Divines, Fragile), Jérôme Niel, Benoît Poelvoorde, Blanche Gardin and Doria Tillier. A very full cast for a film that's just as full!

Quentin Dupieux's tenth film is undoubtedly one of his best! By multiplying the stories in this sketch film, which isn't really a sketch film at all, the filmmaker gets right to the heart of his favorite genre, the absurd. He takes the liberty of recounting fantasies in a very short space of time, and offers a gallery of characters to fall over laughing at. Blanche Gardin, in particular, is hilarious. Of the fifteen or so characters in the film, each is more zany than the last. Special mention must go to the disgusting puppet voiced by Alain Chabat, who, despite everything, makes all the girls fall for him.
After a fierce battle with a demonic turtle, five vigilantes known as the "TABAC FORCE" are ordered to go on retreat to strengthen their group's deteriorating cohesion. The retreat goes perfectly until Lézardin, Emperor of Evil, decides to destroy planet Earth...
