The film centers on restorative justice, a framework introduced in France in 2014 that lets victims and offenders—who have no prior connection—talk to each other in safe settings, guided by professionals and volunteers. It showcases two approaches: a group round-table session and an individual path, that of Adèle Exarchopoulos’s character, who hopes to meet a specific offender.
Nassim, Issa and Thomas, convicted of violent robberies, cross paths with Grégoire, Nawelle and Sabine, who’ve survived home invasions, armed heists and snatch thefts. Chloé, a survivor of incestuous rape, also joins the journey. Each trajectory is distinct; together, they compose a broader portrait of what this process can — or cannot — repair.
