The open-air film festival returns to the Palais Galliera in June!

When the warm weather arrives in Paris, the capital reveals a whole host of great ways to make the most of it . When night falls, open-air cinemas spring up all over the capital, attracting moviegoers eager to make the most of summer evenings. These open-air screenings often take place in gardens and parks in the Paris region. Occasionally, they can be found in more unusual locations.

How about an open-air cinema session set in a sublime Parisian museum? Head for the Palais Galliera, dedicated to thehistory of fashion, to take advantage of this unusual plan. It's in the courtyard of honor, surrounded by its beautiful columns, that you can enjoy a mini-festival of cinema that plunges us into the heart of the world of fashion via the 7th art.

On June 8 and 9, 2023, an exciting program awaits you for the second edition of the Palais Galliera's open-air film festival . The theme is "1997 on screen", echoing the 1997 Fashion Big Bang exhibition currently on at the museum.

Thursday June 8, 2023
6pm: Exhibition open and accessible until 9pm
from 9:30pm: screening of the documentary colette mon amour (2020), duration 1h
Documentary by Hugues and Eliane Lawson-Body celebrating twenty years of the legendary concept store opened in 1997, with footage from the period and celebrity testimonials.

Friday, June 9th 2023
8:30pm: Doors open
from 9.30pm: screening of The Fifth Element (1997), running time 2:06
Science-fiction film directed by Luc Besson, starring Bruce Willis, Milla Jovovich and Gary Oldman.
Costumes by Jean Paul Gaultier to be discovered in the 1997 Fashion Big Bang exhibition.

Each screening costs €10 full price and €7 concessions.
