Assane Diop returns to Netflix in fall 2026. Part 4 of Lupin will be released in France on October 23, 2026. Omar Sy is back in the role of the contemporary gentleman thief inspired by the adventures of Arsène Lupin.
Premiered in 2021, this French series follows Assane Diop, a man who adopts the tricks, disguises, and illusionary gambits of Maurice Leblanc’s legendary thief. His schemes are also tied to his family history and the fallout of his activities on those closest to him.
Netflix has not yet released a detailed synopsis for this new installment. The case that will occupy Assane Diop, his objectives, and the potential adversaries he will face remain unknown.
The new episodes, however, will pick up right where Part 3 left off, which has been available since October 5, 2023. Assane had chosen to surrender to the police to protect Claire and Raoul. Once imprisoned, he discovers that Hubert Pellegrini, his former foe, is in a neighboring cell and still seems able to influence his fate.
This ending leaves several doors open, but nothing yet indicates which direction Part 4 will take. Pellegrini’s appearance, Assane’s fate in prison, and the fallout from his latest choices could serve as a starting point, even though Netflix has not yet clarified how pivotal they will be for what comes next.
Alongside Omar Sy, Ludivine Sagnier returns to her role as Claire, while Antoine Gouy resumes his portrayal of Benjamin Férel, Assane’s friend and accomplice.
Soufiane Guerrab is back in the role of police inspector Youssef Guédira. Shirine Boutella also reprises her portrayal of Sofia Belkacem.
Created by George Kay in collaboration with François Uzan, Lupin blends police investigation, a heist-driven narrative and family drama. Part 4 will be available on Netflix starting October 23, 2026.
