Winner of the Cristal for Best Feature Film at the Annecy Festival makes Linda wants chicken! the best animated film of the year. A well-deserved title! Find out more when the film is released in France on October 18, 2023.
Directed by Chiara Malta and Sébastien Laudenbach, this animated film tells a whimsical story centered on a comic and touching quest: that of Linda and her mother Paulette, on a desperate search for a chicken in the middle of a general strike.
This adventure goes far beyond a simple culinary quest. Linda, unjustly punished for the theft of a ring she didn't commit, has an experience that will not only unite Linda's gang, but the whole neighborhood. What's more, this chicken, once lovingly prepared by her father, holds the key to a lost memory for Linda. One question remains unanswered: who will know how to kill this famous chicken?
And as you can see from the images in the trailer, Linda veut du Poulet! has a singular, never-before-seen graphic style. Always colorful and expressive, the film will capture the attention of all toddlers while telling them a touching and funny story. Despite its childlike spirit, the film doesn't shy away from sometimes harsh subjects, such as grief.
It's a real tour de force that the filmmakers are able to stage such an amusing, far-fetched odyssey, while at the same time exploring the character's psyche to such an extent!
