He is one of the few music legends without a biopic to his name. In 2024, a film will finally trace the life of Jamaican singer Bob Marley. Directed by Reinaldo Marcus Green(The Williams Method), the feature-length film is expected on VOD for purchase on June 13, on DVD and Blu-Ray on June 19, and on VOD for rental from June 26, 2024. Produced in partnership with the Marley family, Bob Marley: One Love promises an authentic and profound interpretation.
Starring Kingsley Ben-Adir(Secret Invasion, Barbie) in the title role, this biopic tells the story of the singer's life and his commitment to peace, particularly in Jamaica. Rita, his famous partner and musician, is played by Lashana Lynch(Mourir peut Attendre, The Woman King). The cast also includes James Norton and Michael Gandolfini.
