The most Marseillais of filmmakers returns with a new feature film in the form of a declaration of love to the city of Marseille. Et la Fête continue, Robert Guédiguian's 23rd film, is due in cinemas on November 15.
And for this new film, Guédiguian calls on two of his favorite actors, Ariane Ascaride and Jean-Pierre Darroussin. Most of the other actors in Et la Fête continue! have already been seen in the filmmaker's filmography, and he once again explores the theme of the family.
In Marseille, Rosa, 60, has devoted her life to her family and to politics with the same sense of sacrifice. Everyone thinks she's unshakeable, especially as Rosa is the only one who could seal the union of the left on the eve of a decisive electoral deadline. In the end, she puts up with it all, until the day she falls in love with Henri. For the first time, Rosa is afraid to make a commitment. Between the pressure of her political family and her desire to let go, the dilemma is hard to bear.
