Eight years of waiting for fans of the Mad Max saga. Following the release of Fury Road in 2015, a spin-off focusing on the character of Furiosa has been announced. The protagonist played by Charlize Theron takes on the features ofAnya Taylor-Joy in Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga, due in cinemas on May 22, 2024.
In this eagerly-awaited first trailer, we rediscover the post-apocalyptic desert world of the Mad Max saga in a new light, as the hero is no longer with us. It's Furiosa's turn to unveil her odyssey, a journey to return home after being torn from her childhood home. In addition to Anya Taylor-Joy, the cast includes an unrecognizable Chris Hemsworth. We can't wait to see the result!
As we suspected, Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga will premiere at the Cannes Film Festival, as did 3000 Years of Waiting for You, the latest film from George Miller who, despite his 78 years, seems to have lost none of his zest for big explosions.
