Daredevil: Born Again: the third season will be the final one on Disney+

Daredevil: Born Again will end with its third season, slated for 2027 on Disney+. Marvel France confirms this upcoming run will be the last, laying out a clear timeline for Matt Murdock’s return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Charlie Cox reprises the vigilante and lawyer Matt Murdock, opposite Vincent D’Onofrio in the role of Wilson Fisk. The series tracks their clash in New York, pitting the defense of justice against the political ambitions of the former crime boss. Deborah Ann Woll and Elden Henson also join this new incarnation of the Marvel Universe.

At New York Comic Con, Charlie Cox took the stage with Krysten Ritter and Finn Jones to preview clips from season 3. The reunion came with the announcement that Born Again will be coming to a close, following a first season that premiered in March 2025 and a second that aired in 2026.

Matt Murdock had already re-entered the MCU with Spider-Man: No Way Home. The trailer and the review below focus on the first season of Daredevil: Born Again.

Our take on Daredevil: Born Again (season 1)

After a long wait, Daredevil: Born Again marks the triumphant return of Matt Murdock, aka Daredevil, and his sworn foe, Wilson Fisk, better known as the Kingpin. Played by Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio just like the original series that aired from 2015 to 2018, these iconic characters return for a season that blends drama, action, and fantasy while staying true to the roots of the man without fear.

From the opening moments, the series leans into high-octane action with a punchy start. Yet that intensity struggles to sustain itself across the first episode, which mostly serves as an introduction. Long-time fans will welcome the return to the basics: Matt Murdock, blind lawyer with hyper-tuned hearing, operates in a New York beset by police corruption, while Fisk pursues fresh political clout.

The show truly finds its footing by the end of the second episode, thanks in large part to the early standout battles. Power, manipulation, and corruption drive the plot forward in earnest. Despite a start that sometimes wobbles in tempo, Disney+ delivers a largely satisfying continuation, faithful to its hero and promising for what lies ahead.
