Disney+ subscribers in France will be able to watch the first part of the Egghead arc of One Piece in French starting in December 2026. Season 38, according to the platform’s numbering, will be available entirely in French, before more dubbed episodes are added in February 2027.
Produced by Toei Animation since 1999, the animated series adapts the manga created by Eiichiro Oda in 1997. It follows Monkey D. Luffy and the Straw Hat Pirates as they search for the treasure One Piece. This version differs from Netflix’s live-action adaptation and the animated remake The One Piece.
In Egghead, the crew arrives on a futuristic island that is home to Dr. Vegapunk’s laboratory. The next arc, Elbaph, heads to the land of the giants. It is already available on Disney+ in Japanese with French subtitles, in season 40 of the catalog; its French dub is expected sometime in 2027.
The anime arrived on Disney+ in March 2025. The catalog has since grown: the platform now says it offers more than half of the series’ episodes. The November announcement concerns the expansion of the French-dubbed offering, beyond the episodes already available in the original version with subtitles.
