Good news for all Bono fans! The leader of the famous band U2 is at the heart of a documentary to be seen on May 30, 2025 on Apple TV+. Entitled " Bono: Stories of Surrender ", the documentary is directed by New Zealander Andrew Dominik, whose credits include"The Assassination of Jesse James" and"Blonde".
This time, Andrew Dominik focuses on Bono, and more specifically on his solo show"Stories of Surrender: An Evening of Words, Music and Some Mischief", inspired by his best-selling memoir " Surrender: 40 Songs, One Story ".
The documentary will feature exclusive footage from Bono's 2023 residency at New York's Beacon Theatre. The film will also feature Bono performing a number of iconic U2 songs. A press release adds that the film " lifts the curtain on a remarkable life and the family, friends and faith that have challenged and supported him, revealing personal stories about his journey as a son, father, husband, activist and rockstar ".
" Bono: Stories of Surrender " is also set to premiere on Apple Vision Pro on the same day as the film's release, marking the first feature-length film available in Apple Immersive Video.
Since the early days of U2, Bono and the band have consistently pushed the boundaries and embraced new technologies to create deeper, unexpected connections with their audiences. On May 30, Bono and his band embark on a new experience with " Bono: Stories of Surrender " , to be discovered on Apple +TV.
