Street Fighter unveils part of its French voice cast. The fighters Benoît Saint Denis, Cédric Doumbè and Paul Dena will lend their voices to Zangief, Balrog and Joe in the French edition of the film, set to hit cinemas on October 14, 2026.
Directed by Kitao Sakurai, this fresh live-action adaptation of Capcom’s iconic game brings together Andrew Koji, Noah Centineo and Callina Liang as Ryu, Ken Masters and Chun-Li. The story unfolds in 1993, as the two former friends are recruited to enter the World Warrior Tournament, only to uncover a looming conspiracy.
Paramount Pictures and Legendary are also offering an interactive version of the trailer, playable directly on YouTube, as well as a clip from the Ryu vs. Blanka fight.
Benoît Saint Denis will voice Zangief, the wrestler brought to life on screen by Olivier Richters. Cédric Doumbè will provide the French voice for Balrog, portrayed by Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, while Paul Dena will dub Joe, played by former UFC champion Alexander Volkanovski.
The inclusion of these three athletes further blurs the lines between cinema and combat sports. The film also features wrestlers Cody Rhodes as Guile and Joe “Roman Reigns” Anoa’i as Akuma, along with fighter-actor Vidyut Jammwal portraying Dhalsim.
The cast also features David Dastmalchian as M. Bison, Orville Peck as Vega, Hirooki Goto as E. Honda, Mel Jarnson as Cammy, and Jason Momoa as Blanka. Momoa also serves as a producer on the film.
Produced by Legendary Pictures in partnership with Capcom, Street Fighter is scripted by Dalan Musson and slated for an IMAX release. The project returns to the franchise’s origins, launched in arcade halls in 1987 and driven to worldwide fame by Street Fighter II in 1991.
