Curtain down for Giorgio Armani. On Thursday, September 4, 2025, at the age of 91, the emperor of Italian elegance passed away in Italy, surrounded by his loved ones. Buried discreetly on September 8, the couturier leaves behind an indelible mark. And just a few days after his death, the news broke... a biopic is already in the works!
At the helm? Italian producer Andrea Iervolino, known for Ferrari with Penélope Cruz and Adam Driver. His ambition: to retrace the career of the man who took Italy's name to the podiums and beyond. The screenplay, by Bobby Moresco(Crash, Maserati: The Brothers with Al Pacino and Anthony Hopkins), should weave the story of the man before the icon.
The plot, meanwhile, remains unclear ... Will the film delve into the designer's private life, or focus on his career? Will the Armani family be involved? A mystery. But one thing is certain, says Iervolino: "We all know the Armani brand, but not always the Giorgio Armani man."
Armani has always flirted with the silver screen. From the cult costumes in Casino in 1995 to the short film Made in Milan in 1990, his signature style, both rigorous and sensual, has graced screens and catwalks alike. And now he's the star of the action-packed Armani biopic!
