Season 2 of Watson lands on Paramount+ on September 11, 2026. Morris Chestnut reunites with Robert Carlyle to reprise the role of Sherlock Holmes.

Watson, the medical-drama and crime series led by Morris Chestnut, returns with a second season on Paramount+ on September 11, 2026. This new batch marks the major return of Sherlock Holmes, whom Watson believed to be dead, now portrayed by Robert Carlyle.

The series relocates Arthur Conan Doyle’s universe to contemporary Pittsburgh. At the helm of a clinic specializing in rare diseases, John Watson applies his keen powers of observation and deduction to intricate medical cases, blending diagnosis, investigation, and psychological thriller.

Following their clash with Moriarty, Watson and his team continue to treat patients with unusual conditions. Sherlock's return, however, upends this balance and forces the doctor to confront secrets buried in his past. The season runs 20 episodes.

The first trailer for the series showcases the clash between a police investigation and medical drama:

Created by Craig Sweeny, the writer-producer known for Elementary and for Star Trek: Section 31, Watson also features Eve Harlow, Peter Mark Kendall, Inga Schlingmann, Ritchie Coster and Rochelle Aytes.
