His death leaves a huge void in the world of metal. On July 22, Ozzy Os bourne passed away at the age of 76. Less than three weeks earlier, the"Prince of Darkness" had given a farewell concert alongside Black Sabbath and many other artists, in Birmingham. A farewell concert that was particularly close to his heart.
That's exactly what we learn from"Ozzy: No Escape From Now", a documentary to be shown on Paramount+ from October 7, 2025. Directed by BAFTA award-winner Tania Alexander,"Ozzy: No Escape From Now" tells the story of the last six years of Ozzy Osbourne's life, and looks back at his strong desire to stage that final " Back To The Beginning " concert.
For the occasion, the documentary features an exclusive interview withOzzy Osbourne, one of the artist's last on screen, as well as exclusive discussions with members of his family and collaborators. Musicians also take part in"Ozzy: No Escape From Now", including Black Sabbath's Tony Iommi, Ozzy Osbourne guitarist Zakk Wylde, Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith, Rage Against The Machine's Tom Morello, The Smashing Pumpkins' Billy Corgan, Metallica's James Hetfield and Robert Trujillo, Billy Idol and Guns N'Roses' Duff McKagan...
According to a press release published a few months ago on Ozzy's official website, the project"offers a deeply personal portrait of the rock legend's difficult new realities and his battle to get on stage for one last performance". " The last six years have been marked by some of the most difficult times I've ever experienced. There have been times when I thought I had achieved my goal," confided Ozzy Osbourne in the statement. " But making music and recording two albums saved me. Without music, I would have gone mad," he added.
