The Cannes Classics selection for the 2026 Cannes Film Festival has been unveiled, featuring 21 feature films, 3 short films, 6 documentaries and 2 contemporary works.
In addition to the official selection, the Quinzaine des Cinéastes, the Critics Week and ACID, there is an extra section at the Festival de Cannes 2026, Cannes Classics, dedicated to tributes and restorations. So it’s time for the classics, from May 12 to 23, through these special screenings of heritage films. An opportunity to discover new restorations, documentaries, and special events.
Many artists are also expected this year at the Cannes Film Festival 2026 to showcase works from the Cannes Classics program. Among them: Bruce and Laura Dern, Guillermo del Toro, Artavazd Pelechian, Dario Argento, and Jerzy Skolimowski.
