The Festival de Cannes 2026 has unveiled the members who will form the jury for feature films at its 79th edition, scheduled to run from May 12 to 23, 2026 on the Croisette. A much-anticipated announcement for cinema fans!
The name of the jury president had been known for weeks: it is the South Korean filmmaker, screenwriter and producer Park Chan-wook. At his side, eight members will undertake the heavy task of judging the 22 competition titles in order to award the Palme d’Or at this 2026 edition of the Cannes Film Festival, along with other prestigious prizes—the Grand Prix, the Jury Prize, the Prize for Best Mise-en-Scène, the Screenplay Prize and the Best Actor and Best Actress prizes.
The jury of the Cannes Film Festival 2026 comprises the following: American actress and producer Demi Moore, Irish-Ethiopian actress and producer Ruth Negga, Belgian director and screenwriter Laura Wandel, Chinese director and screenwriter Chloé Zhao, Chilean director and screenwriter Diego Céspedes, Ivorian-American actor Isaach De Bankolé, Scottish screenwriter Paul Laverty, and Swedish actor Stellan Skarsgård.
So, who will take on the baton from Jafar Panahi’s Un simple accident and win the 2026 Palme d'Or awarded by this prestigious jury? The answer will be announced on Saturday, May 23.
