In Canada's remote forests, raging rapids and isolated Arctic outposts, air‑ambulance crews are often the only frontline for care. Season 4 upends the team’s balance: fresh recruits— rookie pilots and paramedics— arrive to unsettle the dynamics that held them together. Leaders lose their footing, emotions outrun the protocols, and boundaries are tested with every mission.
On the casting side, Natasha Calis (Hayley), Morgan Holmstrom (Crystal), Mercedes Morris (Lexi), Sydney Kuhne (Stef) and Aaron Ashmore (Wheezer) are back in their respective roles. A slate of new faces joins the lineup: Lauren Lee Smith takes the role of Captain Riley, a globe-trotting pilot with links to Wheezer’s past; Shawn Ahmed plays Zay Patel, a talented but arrogant flight nurse; Leishe Meyboom portrays recruit Piper Adler; Alexander Eling steps in as co-pilot Wyatt Ellis; and Cecilia Lee is cast as pilot Maya Chang.
The series was shot in North Bay, Ontario, and Manitoba. It is produced by Piazza Entertainment, in partnership with Paramount+ Canada and CBS Studios. Julie Puckrin serves as an executive producer alongside Gillian Hormel and Vanessa Piazza.
