In the early 1990s, British customs struggle to cope with the scale of the drug trade. A secret operation is entrusted to a small team of civil servants sent undercover, posing as criminals to infiltrate some of the country’s most dangerous gangs.

Plucked from their everyday lives, they must learn to live with a new identity, what they call their “legend,” and move through a world where one misstep can blow their cover. Tom Burke, Steve Coogan and Tom Hughes headline the series, joined by Hayley Squires, Aml Ameen, Jasmine Blackborow, Douglas Hodge and Johnny Harris. The story follows a collective investigation driven by ordinary men and women who find themselves facing a mission that goes beyond their training.
