In the first season, Citadel, the independent international espionage agency, is toppled by Manticore, a powerful shadowy network. Elite agents Mason Kane and Nadia Sinh survive with their memories wiped, only to be drawn back into the conflict by Bernard Orlick.
Season 2 extends this logic of a large-scale espionage thriller. A new threat forces former Citadel agents to reform a team and launch a global mission, as alliances stay unstable and Manticore remains at the heart of the tensions.
Richard Madden reprises his role as Mason Kane, Priyanka Chopra Jonas returns as Nadia Sinh, and Stanley Tucci again plays Bernard Orlick. Lesley Manville is back as well, while new faces join the ensemble, including Jack Reynor, Matt Berry, and Lina El Arabi.
The Citadel universe has expanded through spin-off series, such as Citadel: Diana, set in Italy, and Citadel: Honey Bunny, set in India. This season 2, however, brings the spotlight back to the main series, with seven new episodes announced on Prime Video.
