Remember: on September 5, 2024, Linkin Park performed in California. Streamed live, the event marked the American band's long-awaited comeback after the tragic passing of frontman Chester Bennington on July 20, 2017, at the age of 41. For the occasion, fans were introduced to the two new members: lead vocalist Emily Armstrong and drummer Colin Brittain.
Since then, things have unfolded at a dizzying pace for Mike Shinoda and his crew, with the release of a new album, 'From Zero,' and a world tour that spans the globe. In France, Linkin Park notably took over Paris La Défense Arena on November 3, 2024, headlined Hellfest in Clisson in June 2025, played the Stade de France a few days later, then rolled into Lyon on June 16, 2026.
This fall, Linkin Park is taking another step in its career by announcing the cinematic release of a musical documentary. Titled "Unshatter", the film chronicles the band's resurgence and tracks them from their intimate 2022 studio sessions to the release of the album "From Zero" and its São Paulo concert.
Blending unseen archival footage, live performances from several concerts, and testimonials from the band members and their fans, Unshatter is described as a "raw and authentic portrait of what it means to start again, reinvent oneself, and move forward."
Directed by Joe Hahn, a musician, DJ and longtime member of Linkin Park, "Unshatter" is therefore being shown in a one-night-only screening in cinemas around the world. In France, head to the cinema on Thursday, October 1, 2026 to discover this unreleased musical documentary that retraces the band’s artistic renaissance after seven years apart.
