Billings heads the fight against drug trafficking. The criminal Gianni and his gang plan to use the child to reach the officials gathered around him. Frank must then find Jack, foil the kidnappers' plan and prove that he hasn’t betrayed the family’s trust.
The film picks up the formula established by Le Transporteur: a driver living by strict rules, assignments that quickly spiral beyond his control, thrilling car chases and one-on-one clashes. Louis Leterrier, who co-directed the first installment with Corey Yuen, now directs solo, from a script by Luc Besson and Robert Mark Kamen.
Headlined by Jason Statham, the cast features Alessandro Gassman as Gianni, Amber Valletta and Matthew Modine as Audrey and Jefferson Billings, and Kate Nauta as Lola. François Berléand also reprises his role as Inspector Tarconi.
The saga continues with The Transporter 3, also available on Netflix on September 9 and on HBO Max on September 10, 2026.
