Marvel’s Wolverine claws its way onto PS5! After a standout first showing at a State of Play in September 2025, then another reveal at a PlayStation conference in June 2026, the action-adventure from Insomniac Games and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment is back in the spotlight on July 17 with a fresh trailer. Logan’s adventures and his famous adamantium claws are slated for PS5 on September 15, 2026.
A game born from the imagination of the studio's developers during the creation of Marvel's Spider-Man. As Ryan Schneider, Franchise, Strategy & Studio Relations Director at Insomniac Games, explains, it's "an indie game," crafted by Brian Horton and Cameron Christian, who previously worked on Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales. He adds: "Building on our Spider-Man titles, our goal isn't just to stay true to what makes the character so beloved, but also to find ways to make him feel fresh and reflect the spirit of Insomniac." This gives a brief glimpse into the potential ambitions for the character and the style the game might adopt.
About this new trailer, not a lot of new details, except that the fights look incredibly sharp and Wolverine will cross paths with a slew of mutants. Among them, Mystique, Sabretooth, Lady Deathstrike, and Jean Grey. As a reminder, Wolverine will have to rescue a group of young mutants taken by the men of Bolivar Trask. A hero who even heads to Madripoor, the island and haven for criminals of every stripe... That says it all! In short, we’re hyped.
