Continuing the trend set by its previous sports games, Nintendo now leads us to an island teeming with athletes of every stripe. Wii players will be able to revisit the Wuhu Island and its unique tourist facilities.
The game's reveal trailer highlights the 12 activities available on the island: boxing, bowling, thumb wrestling, seaplane flights, tennis, golf, archery, table tennis, volleyball, skateboarding, basketball, and jet-skiing. A bona fide sports camp worthy of the Olympics!
The gameplay centers on intuitive motion controls: with the Joy-Con you can steer your character’s actions by moving objects as you would in real life. The game is well suited for TV play, as long as you have enough space around you to swing your racket for those tennis shots without knocking over a vase.
Some of these activities are Nintendo sports-game staples, while others are more surprising. For now, there’s no indication whether the game supports a multiplayer mode.
