Surprises await you underwater, in Pokémon Pokopia... A game expansion is slated for August 2026, introducing a new underwater city to explore.

You’ve still got work to do on the board: a new city is coming soon to the game Pokémon Pokopia, a fresh world to develop and refine to lure your Pokémon friends back. The good news: you won’t have to water it... A season pass unveils an underwater realm in Pokopia, coming August 2026. Here’s the trailer.

The trailer for the Pokémon Pokopia expansion:

The Pass Overview:

«Keep building your Pokémon paradise with the Expansion Pass! This paid DLC includes three content waves that bring new towns, new Pokémon to encounter, and new features.»

With your new Dive ability, you’ll be able to grow your underwater city in the world of Fonds-Bulleux. A brand-new town with its own architecture, furniture, decorations, and never-before-seen Pokémon to discover. Like in the previous cities, you’ll need to clean up the environment, build habitats, unlock items, and attract new Pokémon.

This expansion pass bundles several upgrades, downloadable in three parts. In the summer of 2026, players will get to explore the town of Fonds-Bulleux. The pass then unlocks new features, followed by a second, all-new city to explore in 2027.

The expansion pass is already on sale on the Nintendo eShop, priced at 34.99 euros. That price isn’t trivial for a game already selling for about 70 euros. The pass grants access to three expansions, slated for August 2026, then late this year, and finally in 2027. For now, it’s unclear what exactly the next two expansions will contain.

A free update is also being offered to all players: it lets your Metamorph learn the Diving ability, enabling you to explore and reshape the seabed of your world. The update does not include a new town.
