Play Sorbonne 2025: the video and board game festival on the Pierre & Marie Curie campus

For the eighth year, Sorbonne Université 's student association dedicated to video games is organizing its Play Sorbonnefestival, on the Pierre et Marie Curie campus in Paris's 5th arrondissement, on Saturday September 20, 2025. Numerous enthusiasts will be gathering around video game culture, board games and video games, to introduce the curious to this vast universe.

Participants are invited to watch, listen and take part in a wide range of free activities, including tournaments(Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Mario Kart World, TFT, osu!, Dactylographie, Tetr.io), improv theater, cosplay contests, Just Dance and two guest role-playing games. The 12,000m2 exhibition space will be staffed by game industry professionals, including developers, publishers and associations.

The festival is for everyone, whether you're an avid gamer or just want to get to know all the different gaming media. Admission is free, but don't forget to register in advance so you don't miss out!

Festival program:

• Meetings with over 70 video game developers and board game authors.
• Numerous activities for visitors: treasure hunts, board games, arcade terminals, giant games, photo rallies, retro consoles... and, of course, free access to video games.
• An exhibition and conferences
• E-sport tournaments with over 400 participants: Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, mario kart world, Teamfight Tactics, osu!, typing, tetr.io
• Two JDRs hosted on stage by FibreTigre, Lydia, Daz and Lâm
• Improv theater, cosplay competitions
• Conferences on the world of video games
• Exhibitions combining the worlds of gaming and the arts.
