Stranger Things: a new and immersive experience comes to Paris

Attention fans of Stranger Things and immersive and interactive experiences! Stranger Things The Experience is coming to Paris, at the Paris Event Center to be precise, from March 10th to July 9th 2023. We tested it, we tell you about it!

Stranger Things never ceases to seduce Parisians! After an exclusive experience at the Cirque Bouglione for the release of season 4 and a store on the Champs-Élysées, the Netflix 's flagship series is back with a new immersive experience open to all, imagined by Fever and the SVOD platform. Entitled Stranger Things: The Experience, it will take place at the Paris Event Center, in the 19th arrondissement of the capital, from March 10 to July 9, 2023, and will transport you to Hawkins, where you will have to help Eleven and all her gang thanks to your supernatural powers.

This unique experience was created by the creators of the series, immersing visitors in specially created settings. It promises to immerse fans in the 80s, between Hawkins and theUpside Down. Immersed in the laboratories, you will have to escape from the terrifying creatures lurking in the shadows using your telekinetic powers, of course, and save the city.

Special effects, situation reversals... The immersion promises to be crazy! "We know that Stranger Things fans will take the chance to be the hero of this new adventure alongside Eleven, Mike and the rest of the gang to fight the evil that threatens Hawkins," explains Greg Lombardo, Vice President, Live Experiences at Netflix.Fans love to escape into the fantasy world of Stranger Things by watching the series.Now, for the first time in France, they will literally be able to experience an episode of the series live."

Alongside the experience, you're also invited to explore MixTape, a space dedicated to the series' iconic locations. Enjoy a USS Butterscotch sundae at Scoops Ahoy, beat the MADMAX high score at the Palace Arcade (or at least try to), enjoy one-of-a-kind cocktails at a Stranger Things bar, get up close and personal with an old foe of the gang... Our review of Stranger Things - The Experience:

Stranger Things fans, this is the ULTIMATE experience made for you! And for good reason: Netflix and Fever succeed here in offering a truly immersive and interactive experience, beyond anything that has ever been done on the series in this type of format. It's really exciting from the start, thanks to a great set design, actors who take their role very seriously and a "gameplay" (for lack of a better term) particularly well thought out so that everyone can participate.

On arrival, you are divided into three different groups: intelligence (blue), physical strength (red) and intuitive (yellow). Each group has its own power, linked toEleven's, and it is during a scene where your brains are put to the test that you discover your powers (moving objects by thought, freezing time, making things appear and communicating with Eleven by thought).

The special effects are particularly well done, the telekinesis effects are convincing, as well as the different screens and consoles to use by thought, of course. The screens are well done, and the quality of the video is unequalled, which makes all the difference. Concerning the end, we leave the surprise to you, but the experience ends in apotheosis with the use of different technologies, particularly well coordinated and ultra effective. In short, it's a flawless game.

We only regret, maybe, that the experience is a bit too short (45 minutes), but the quality of the show is such that its duration is quite sufficient. Once the experience is over, you have access to the MixTape, a so 80' s space where you can play on arcade terminals at Arcade Palace, enjoy good pizzas or corn dogs at Surfer Boy Pizza, good ice creams at Scoops Ahoy, good cocktails at The Upside, or do your shopping at Rink-O-Mania or Video Family.

A photobooth is also available, as well as a space reconstituting the Byers' living room (and where you can have your picture taken) or theUpside Down, with Vecna. The whole thing is of course set to music, with the greatest hits of the 80s. In short, THE best experience for all fans of the series!

An experience that has already taken place in New York, San Francisco, London and Atlanta. And the opportunity to have a good scare with friends, especially if you are fans of the Netflix series. So, ready to visit Hawkins and unleash your powers, folks?
