Pokémon Violet and Scarlet: new trailers for the Zero Zone buried treasure DLC

June's Nintendo Direct unveiled new gameplay elements for the Buried Treasure of the Zero Zone DLC, to be released in autumn 2023. Extend your journey into Pokémon Violet and Scarlet with two new trailers unveiled at Pokemon Presents, this Tuesday August 8.

Enjoyed Pokémon Scarlet and Violet? Good news, your adventure isn't quite over yet! The game on Nintendo Switch is soon offering us new stories to experience, with these DLCs presented during a Pokémon Direct, broadcast this Monday, February 27, 2023.

The adventure is called The Buried Treasure of the Zero Zone, and is divided into two chapters: The Turquoise Mask and The Indigo Disc. The two additional contents are scheduled for autumn and winter 2023 respectively. The first, The Turquoise Mask, is scheduled for release on September 13. Let's take a look at the two trailers unveiled at the latest Pokemon Presents, on August 8, 2023.

Trailers for the first Pokémon Violet and Scarlet DLC:

According to the official Pokémon website, this DLC will add no fewer than 230 new Pokémon to the game, including two legendary monsters: Ogerpon and Terapagos. We also learn that Mew will be offered with the mystery gift"GETY0URMEW". Mewtwo will also arrive in a dedicated Teracristal raid, to be discovered from September 1 to 17, 2023. Facing Mewtwo with your Mew will trigger a special event.

According to the various trailers unveiled, one of these DLCs will take us to a more traditional and mystical Japan, while the other seems to be much more modern, and centered around arena battles. The Turquoise Mask DLC takes us on a school trip outside Paldea, while the Indigo Disc offers a school exchange with the Blueberry Institute.

On June 21, 2023, a new Nintendo Direct provided further details about this new adventure. No precise release date was given, but the gameplay and plot are gradually revealed in these few minutes of video. Mysterious traditions, battles and exceptional new Pokémons are on the agenda for this additional content.
