Rise and shine. At the Games Awards, a surprise announcement awaited fans of EldenRing. The RPG, released in 2022, had quickly joined the pantheon of cult video games thanks to its rich open world, meticulous aesthetics, sublime soundtrack, highly challenging gameplay and longevity. And we haven't heard the last of it, as Fromsoftware and Bandai Namco have announced the arrival of a new adventure on console and PC in 2025. From now on, since May 30, 2025, players can count themselves in.
Get ready for Elden Ring - Nightreign, a co-op action-RPG in which players can join forces as a trio to defeat the Lord Nocturne, by surviving a three-night cycle. Combining exploration and combat, it offers an adventure in which strategic choices must be made.
First of all, there's character choice, with eight unique profiles, each with different abilities and techniques, allowing players to tailor the experience to their own style of play. This epic journey through Limveld encourages players to make the right decisions quickly, as theNocturnal Storm gradually reduces the map's safe zones. Each night ends with a boss battle, the last of which is none other than the Night Lord. As you can see, you're in for a real challenge here too.
The game incorporates certain Battle Royale codes, adapted to the RPG universe and this cooperative mode of play. Players who have not had the opportunity to immerse themselves in Elden Ring may be at a slight disadvantage when starting out, since NightReign includes weapons and skills from the basic game. For those who have already played, this creates a pleasant sense of familiarity at the heart of this redesigned gaming experience. The AI of the intermediate bosses may seem a little outdated when facing three opponents, but there's no question of resting on your laurels: if you manage to reach the final challenge, the last boss will give you a hard time.

As stated in the announcement of the game's release , "Each failure will allow players to acquire relics that will allow them to improve and customize their Heroes, according to their style of play". So defeat is not without its lessons. On the other hand: "Each victory over the night will bring players a little closer to the defeat of the Night Lord, and will further lift the veil on the history of each Hero in this parallel world". And for lone wolves, the adventure will also be playable solo, although the challenge will be a tough one.
