Superheroes are back on PC and consoles: Marvel Cosmic Invasion, a retro beat 'em up inspired by arcade games and developed by Dotemu, Tribute Games, and Marvel, will be available on December 1, 2025, on PC and consoles ( including Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 ). This new cooperative action game aims to revive the spirit of classic beat 'em ups and will feature several iconic heroes from the Marvel universe, including Spider-Man, Captain America, Wolverine, Venom, Tornado, and Nova.
"" The cosmos must fall for me to live!" So swears Annihilus, the living death on the march! After an unprecedented attack launched across the galaxy, every form of life is now in peril. Nova, Spider-Man, Wolverine, Phyla-Vell, Captain America and many other heroes from Earth and the far reaches of space join forces in a galactic battle against the dreaded Annihilation Wave. From New York to the depths of the Negative Zone, the future of the Universe will be played out across the stars in MARVEL Cosmic Invasion!
It follows in the footsteps of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder's Revenge, the previous critical and commercial success from Dotemu and Tribute Games. Marvel Cosmic Invasion takes up the classic codes of the beat'em up genre, while integrating the graphic and narrative universe of Marvel Comics. The game promises to be a tribute to the comic books and arcade games of the 1990s, with pixel art and cooperative gameplay mechanics.
Commenting on the collaboration, Cyrille Imbert, CEO of Dotemu, says: " Marvel Cosmic Invasion pays tribute to a universe that has fascinated us since childhood. Having the immense honor of bringing this incredible gallery of characters to life also marks the beginning of a new era for Dotemu ". Haluk Mentes, Director of Marvel Games, adds: " At Marvel Games, we have the privilege of creating the games we dream of playing [...] a game we can't wait to see in players' hands! ".
Developed under the auspices of PULLUP Entertainment, Dotemu's parent company, this project is aimed at a wide audience, including both retro game enthusiasts and superhero fans. See you on December 1!
