More news for Nintendo Switch! During a Nintendo Direct, the Japanese manufacturer announced the imminent arrival (end of April 2025) of Virtual Game Cards on its hybrid console. The idea: you can pick them up in the blink of an eye, without having to rummage through your boxes or wait for an interminable download.

A virtual playing card that combines the comfort of physical format with the flexibility of digital. No more juggling cartridges! You can load a game, eject it virtually, then relaunch it on a second console linked to your account. If you're equipped with two consoles, or if you share your game library with members of your family group, everything becomes simpler, smoother... and above all immediate.

Lending your digital games on Nintendo Switch? It's now possible

Note that you can lend a digital game for 14 days to a close member of your family group. Once the game is returned, don't worry: your backup data remains intact. You'll be able to replay where you left off, whether you re-borrow the game or decide to buy it.

The only condition: you must have an Internet connection and local wireless mode to activate the loan. Of course, certain exclusions apply, such as games linked to the Nintendo Switch Online subscription or demos. But for most titles, operation remains simple, intuitive and adaptable to all situations.
