This free citizen eSports tournament in Hauts-de-Seine aims to reshape perceptions of gaming

eSports takes on a community-minded dimension for a weekend in Suresnes. The Gymnase du Belvédère in Suresnes (Hauts-de-Seine) will host Brave the World 2, a citizen-focused eSports event, on February 21-22, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Organized by Resonanc’E-Sport in partnership with the City of Suresnes, this gathering of eSports in Île-de-France features video game competitions, sanctioned chess tournaments, and a dedicated space for digital responsibility. Free and open to all, this Suresnes eSports event is aimed at young people aged 10 to 25, families, and educators eager to explore the issues of digital citizenship through competitive play.

Over the course of two days, the lineup for Brave the World 2 centers around various zones designed to deliver both a competitive and educational experience in eSports. The main stage serves as the hub for the key matches and also hosts a roundtable discussion focused on digital literacy, education, and inclusion issues. The detailed program includes:

• Major Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Tournament: Featuring 256 French and international players, with group stages, a knockout Top 64, and a final Top 8 showdown on the main stage.
• Official FIDE Chess Championships: A Rapid tournament on Saturday and an Elite Blitz event on Sunday, culminating in finals and exhibition matches held live on stage.
• Yu-Gi-Oh! (T CG) Hub: Hands-on sessions led by expert facilitators, along with an official tournament capped at 24 participants.

Open-access play zones are also available, allowing visitors to explore various activities without the pressure of competition. Additionally, a dedicated space is set aside for teachers and education professionals interested in discovering educational tools related to digital practices and digital literacy.

An Online Civic Space has been established to address issues surrounding , community coexistence, and prevention. Specialized organizations offer resources and discussion sessions aimed at engaging young people, parents, and educators. Supported by G-Master from iiyama, Orange Île-de-France, Crédit Mutuel, and the Suresnes Lions Club, Brave the World 2 in Suresnes is launching a hybrid program combining eSports tournaments, mediation, and raising awareness about digital habits in the Hauts-de-Seine. This initiative brings together competition, education, and critical thinking about digital citizenship.
