The solidarity shopping is back in Montreuil (Seine-Saint-Denis - 93) with a new Emmaüs Alternatives kilo sale. Bargain hunters will gather at the association’s premises on Thursday, August 20; Friday, August 21; and Saturday, August 22, 2026 to stock up on second-hand goods without breaking the bank.
Regulars know the drill: 1 kilo of clothing and accessories for 10 €, with a do-good twist on top. The racks feature items for women, men, and kids, plus shoes, bags, belts, and other accessories. Culture lovers can also browse the bargain shelves for books, CDs, DVDs, and vinyl records. And as always with thrift shopping, keep your eyes peeled: some real gems can be tucked away among the stock.
The objective of this sale by the kilo stays the same: give clothes a second life while making second-hand fashion accessible to as many people as possible. Beyond the sale, Emmaüs Alternatives is, above all, an insertion project that helps people in precarious situations move toward independence and employment, notably through the collection, sorting and valorization of donations.
