Among the brands scheduled for Paris Fashion Week 2026, Chanel takes center stage. This iconic fashion house was established by Coco Chanel in 1910. A pioneering figure in the fashion world, she revolutionized style by creating pieces that are both effortlessly elegant and comfortably wearable. In 1983, Karl Lagerfeld took over as Chanel’s creative director, infusing the house with his signature touch while staying true to the pioneering spirit of its founder. Following his passing in 2019, the tribute runway show at the Grand Palais showcased his final collection in a mountain village setting right in the heart of Paris.
His right-hand woman, Virginie Viard, will carry on the torch until her departure at the beginning of June 2024. The Haute Couture collection that followed was presented by the Chanel studio, before the Franco-Belgian Matthieu Blazy, from Bottega Veneta, took over.
