Chanel, the iconic fashion house founded by Coco Chanel in 1910, is at the top of the list for Paris Fashion Week 2025. This leading fashion designer left her mark on the world of fashion, unveiling pieces that were both elegant and comfortable. In 1983, Karl Lagerfeld took over the reins of Chanel's artistic direction, and strove to maintain the spirit of its founder while adding his own touch. Following his death in 2019, the tribute show at the Grand Palais presented his last collection in a mountain village in the heart of Paris.
His right-hand woman, Virginie Viard, will carry on the torch until her departure at the beginning of June 2024. The Haute Couture collection that followed was presented by the Chanel studio, before the Franco-Belgian Matthieu Blazy, from Bottega Veneta, took over.
