And if the former was just a bookshop, Gibert Joseph is its more generalist counterpart. Within the walls of 26 and 34 Boulevard Saint-Michel, you'll find books, of course, but not only books. Gibert is also a stationery store, a record shop and a video store. You'll find new and second-hand products, and these second-hand items are more affordable. The price is a little higher than the average of other second-hand bookshops, but that's a few euros saved! Second-hand products are distinguished by a small yellow label.
The great thing about Gibert Joseph is that nothing is left out. The shelves are well-stocked, and each floor is dedicated to a specific genre. You'll find all kinds of literature, as well as essays, travel guides, school books, comics, manga and even antiquarian books.
