Clara Daguin
is a 2.0 designer. Her specialty? Fusing technology and fashion. Born in France, she grew up in the heart of Silicon Valley, cradled by the electronic circuits her engineer father left lying around the house. With his help, she designed a light dress-installation exhibited at the Première Vision show in 2018, a milestone in her career just like her participation in the Hyères Festival in 2016, following which she created her brand.

Fashion has always been part of Clara's life, but her vision and style were really shaped during her fashion design studies in Paris and her stay in India, where embroidery strongly inspired her. Her creations shine through with their original blend of technology and craftsmanship, illustrated by a visionary fashion show in January 2023.

"It's all about communicating through light, making clothes alive and interactive", C.D.

Clara Daguin is the perfect embodiment of creative obstinacy, dusting off pre-established codes in the fashion world.

"Clara bridges the gap between Haute Couture and High-Tech... She electrifies Haute Couture", Jean-Charles de Castelbajac

In addition, the designer will unveil a light installation to the public at the end of the year. Stay tuned, we'll tell you more soon!

  • Emerging Talent" Fashion Award goes to VAILLANT, by Alice Vaillant

Alice Vaillant also has an atypical background. Once a ballerina, she devoted her childhood and teenage years to dance, until the passion died out.

Alice then turned to her love of fabrics and clothes. She sewed herself a new dream, taking classes, working with a tailor and graduating from Atelier Chardon Savard in 2019. Her label was born, blending fluidity and femininity in a harmony of lace, drape and embroidery. Women feel sublimated in her creations. There's also a focus on traceability and the environment.

"The lace is sourced from deadstocks, the packaging is made from recycled materials, 30% of production is made in France ...", A.V.

Her coup spread across social networks, and three years after her first collection, her studio was able to take over a vibrant creative space in the capital's 11th arrondissement. The designer has also won the hearts of six collaborators, with whom she is gradually weaving her way onto the fashion scene.

VAILLANT will parade during Paris Fashion Week on September 26, 2023.

Simon Delacour and Bastien Beny launched Domestique, their Paris-made leather goods brand, in 2016. Their passion for quality and "Made in France" guides them, as it does the four employees who share their adventure.

The thirty-something designers met 18 years ago on the benches of the École de Condé in Paris. Although their paths diverged, their shared ambition to hijack everyday objects, brought them together in 2015 to create Domestique. Inspired by sado-maso bondage, their first collection made a lasting impression.

Today, they're not content to be designers of sultry accessories, but explore new horizons while advocating ultra-local manufacturing. Domestique embodies a creative vision and an indomitable passion for authenticity and quality.

In the other categories, the Design winners are Julie Richoz and Juliette Berthonneau, while Morgane Baroghel-Crucq and Solenne Jolivet are honored in the Métiers d'Art section.
