The French want to reduce their waste and consume less, at a time of ecological urgency. To start with, how about learning how to repair our objects, appliances and clothes, to stop throwing them away? From October 20 to 22, 2023, the Journées nationales de la réparation (National Repair Days ) are coming to Paris Region and the rest of France for the first time, organized by the HOP association, which fights against programmed obsolescence, and the Make.org foundation. Take advantage of the weekend to learn how to patch up your home from professionals, in their workshops, and discover their know-how!
Over the three days of the event, some 150 events will be held in Paris and the surrounding region, to give all citizens interested in repairing their products a free introduction to this eco-responsible daily gesture. According to the French Environment and Energy Management Agency (ADEME),only 33% of us actually repair our objects, but thanks to the various venues in the capital, it's time for that to change! All you have to do is find the workshop nearest you!
Seamstresses and leatherworkers will be onhand toshowcase theirskills. The public will be able to bring their own items to be repaired, and benefit from advice and the best repair offer .

The objethèque de la Resserre and the BOM - Bibliothèque d'Objets de Montreuil - invite you to take part in a co-repair workshop at the Maison du Zéro Déchet. This is a 30-minute appointment with professional repairers to learn how to diagnose and repair everyday objects independently. Anyone can bring their broken or malfunctioning objects and be guided by a professional, thus becoming an active participant in their own repair.

Darty's large appliance technicians will show visitors the basics of repair, while inviting them to take a tour of the Chilly-Mazarin spare parts warehouse. The event will also provide an opportunity to discover the Group's second life activity.
